Our story

A family the whole community can call home.

Jordan Missionary Baptist Church was built on a simple conviction: faith that stays inside the sanctuary isn’t finished growing. Here’s who we are and why we do what we do.

Our mission

Faith with its sleeves rolled up.

For years, Jordan Missionary Baptist Church has served the Williston community — not only from behind a pulpit, but on porches, in pantry lines, and around kitchen tables. We are a Missionary Baptist congregation, which means outreach isn’t a program we run; it’s part of our name and our nature.

Our mission is straightforward: feed the people in front of us, welcome the ones still deciding what they believe, and disciple everyone who’s ready to grow — regardless of where they’re starting from.

We exist so that anyone who walks through our doors, for the first time or the thousandth, leaves knowing they were seen, cared for, and pointed toward Christ.

What our crest means to us

Every symbol above our door tells part of our story.

Long before it was a logo, our crest was a statement of faith. We’ve come to hold onto what each piece represents.

The heart, cross & anchor

Love, salvation, and hope held together — a reminder from Hebrews 6:19 that our hope is an anchor for the soul, sure and steadfast.

The globe

“Missionary” isn’t just in our name — it’s our posture. Our calling reaches beyond our walls, starting right here in Williston.

The five stars

To us, they stand for excellence in everything we offer back to God — our worship, our word, our witness, our work, and our welcome.

Our values

What guides us on ordinary Tuesdays, not just Sundays.

01

Christ-Centered Worship

Everything we sing, teach, and build points back to Jesus — not a personality, a program, or a trend.

02

Radical Hospitality

Visitors are treated like family from the first hello, not eased in over months of attendance.

03

Hands-On Compassion

Love that stays theoretical isn’t love we practice. If someone’s hungry, we feed them — full stop.

04

Lifelong Discipleship

Growth doesn’t end at baptism. We walk with people from their first question to their deepest calling.
